Learning Objectives

  • Understand the foundational principles of exercise science, including anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, as they apply to group fitness settings.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of various class formats (cardio, strength, HIIT, mind-body, dance-based, and specialty classes) and their unique programming needs.

  • Apply safe and effective exercise techniques, cueing strategies, and modifications for diverse fitness levels and special populations.

  • Develop structured and balanced group fitness class plans incorporating warm-ups, main workout segments, cool-downs, and stretching protocols.
