Discover the Untamed DR
Samaná is celebrated as the "undiscovered" side of the island. During your personal time, you can find inspiration at the majestic El Limón waterfall, take a short boat trip to the white sands of Cayo Levantado, or witness the awe-inspiring humpback whales that visit the bay between January and March. It is a location that rewards the adventurous spirit with total tranquility.
For the fitness or yoga professional seeking a blend of professional fulfillment and tropical serenity, Wyndham Alltra Samaná offers the ultimate island escape. Bring your expertise to the edge of the emerald sea—your sanctuary is waiting.

Professional Responsibilities
Teaching Practices and Standards
Your professional presence and ownership of the "classroom" experience are essential to our program's success. Please review these standards covering class setup, guest engagement, and on-time arrival, as your consistent adherence ensures a high-quality wellness experience for all resort guests.
- You are responsible for setting up your classes. While resort staff may assist, it should not be expected.
- Engage with guests throughout the week and encourage class attendance about 30 minutes before class starts. Your welcoming demeanor is highly appreciated.
- Arrive 10 minutes before class to ensure quality time with guests. If no one shows, please remain for the full duration of your scheduled class time.
- Be adaptable to various levels of experience, ability, and language, as participants may be new to your teaching style. This will enhance their confidence and enjoyment.
Teaching Vacation Essentials
- Travel Insurance:
Travel insurance is crucial for protecting your financial investment and providing support for emergency medical services or travel disruptions. Please plan for the rare but real possibility of needing emergency services abroad. Coverage possibly included with credit cards is usually not sufficient for emergencies and cancellations. More information can be found at. - Passport:
A valid passport is required for international arrival and departure. Please check the expiration dates for all travelers' passports now. Ensure a minimum of six months of validity from your return travel date to your originating country. Passport renewals can take up to six months. Everyone traveling internationally will need a passport. - Resort Check-in Voucher:
A physical copy of your voucher is required at check-in. Go to your booking detail and click on the "Voucher" button for this trip. Review and print prior to departure.
Teaching Schedule
Your teaching schedule will be determined immediately upon arrival at the resort during a meeting with the Entertainment Manager or designated contact. Since class times are subject to the resort's evolving needs, we greatly appreciate your flexibility and ask you to remain adaptable, as two to three hours of teaching per day, regardless of participation, is expected on non-travel days.
- Classes are on all non-travel days. Most often two, but at times potentially three full hours of teaching on these non-travel days may be required and often cannot determine exact times in advance. Your flexibility is valuable! Morning only classes are never guaranteed, adaptability and accommodation are required of instructors.
- Traveling pros must remain at the planned class location ready to go for the entire duration of the scheduled class whether or not participants arrive for class.
- Departing a day early to accommodate flight schedule is not permissible, if a scheduled class will be missed.
- Please note that the Sports or Entertainment Manager has the final say on all scheduling matters.
